About Adobera

Adobera Project

The Adobera project is an energy project that seeks to generate renewable electricity from geothermal resources, that is, the heat of the earth. It is located in the foothills between the Corcoludo hill and the Tolhuaca volcano, north of the city of Curacautín.

In recent years, surface geoscientific and feasibility studies have been developed in the area to study the presence and potential of a geothermal resource to be exploited for power generation.

The project is currently in the deep exploration phase, where drilling activities will be carried out to verify the existence and characteristics of a potential geothermal reservoir during 2023.

If the exploration campaign is successful, work will be done on the definitive design of the plant and its components, carrying out the technical studies to build a Small Means of Distributed Generation power plant (PMGD) based on geothermal energy, in addition to a line of medium voltage that will distribute power. And with them, the pertinent permits will be processed, within which an entry into the Environmental Impact Assessment System (SEIA) is considered.
